WHAT ARE WE PROCESSING YOUR DATA FOR?

Extended description of the purposes of the processing:

Your personal data are processed for the purposes of managing cultural activities organised by the organisation.

 

The purpose is:

  • To manage ticket bookings and sales, process your orders, and facilitate administrative, accounting and tax management. (ICUB economic management 0208 processing)_mandatory

 

  • Given that you are now a customer, we shall be managing information communications and promotions relating to the Barcelona Grec Festival in accordance with your interests and preferences (Cultural event management 0213 processing)_mandatory

 

  • To send information communications relating to the performing arts not just from the ICUB (and its centres_ http://www.bcn.cat/cultura/legal/cat.html) but also from external promoters, where appropriate (ICUB mail 0210 processing)_optional

 

We hereby inform you that we shall be using the data anonymously and for statistical purposes_ Our aim as a public Festival is to reach as many city residents as possible and to be able to check that we are doing so we need to use the data provided: postcodes from where you make purchases, birth date, sex and nationality.

WHAT LEGAL JUSTIFICATION DO WE HAVE FOR BEING ABLE TO PROCESS YOUR DATA?

Legal justification for entering into a contract and being granting consent by the data subject:

The legal basis for processing your data and sending you emails relating to the Grec festival’s promotions is your entering into a contract. As you are a customer, the Act on Information Society and e-Commerce Services enables us to send you emails on products that are related to the ones you initially purchased.

Nonetheless, any communication you receive in connection with the Barcelona Grec Festival will give you the option of ticking a “no more communications” option

 

The legal basis for sending you information communications relating to the performing arts from the ICUB and from external promoters where appropriate is your consent, which is regarded as granted on ticking the corresponding box included for this purpose.

 

Given that personal data communications are a legal or contractual requirement, the data subject is hereby informed that they are under an obligation to provide their personal data and that failing to do so may mean they will not receive the service.

WHO CAN WE COMMUNICATE YOUR DATA TO?

The data you provide us with shall not be handed over to third parties except where legally required.

 

If the activity or event is provided by an external promoter, we will need to communicate your personal data to that promoter so that the contract can be entered into.

You can consult the activities organised by an external promoter at the end of this policy.

 

The Organiser subcontracts some technical services and specialist computer applications, which are outsourced to third parties. This means that at any given time the necessary data may be processed or forwarded to information systems located in local and/or remote servers belonging to the suppliers with whom the corresponding processor contracts and confidentiality clauses are signed.

 

These processors are:

There is no provision for any international transfer of your personal data.

HOW LONG CAN YOUR DATA BE KEPT FOR?

Personal data storage periods and criteria:

The personal data provided through your participation in any activity or event will be kept in all cases for as long as the activity or event concerned lasts. Once it has ended, your data will be kept for the legally required periods established in Spain’s Civil Code for contractual obligations and will subsequently be deleted.

Personal data provided for information communications relating to the performing arts from both the ICUB and from external promoters, where appropriate, will be kept by both parties until their deletion is requested.

WHAT ARE YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS?

The data subject may exercise, where necessary, the following rights:

  • Right to request access to their personal data.
  • Right to request that those data be corrected or deleted.
  • Right to request restrictions to their processing.
  • Right to deny their processing.
  • Right to the data's portability
  • Right to withdraw the consent given.

 

Anyone is entitled to receive confirmation as to whether or not we at the Organisation are processing any personal data that concern them.

 

Data subjects may exercise their right to access their personal data, as well as request the correction of any inaccurate data or, where necessary, the deletion of their data when, among other reasons, they are no longer required for the purposes they were originally collected for.

In certain cases, data subjects may request restrictions to the processing of their data, in which case they shall only be kept for the purposes of lodging or defending claims. 


Under certain circumstances and for reasons relating to their individual situations, data subjects may refuse to allow their personal data to be processed. The Organisation shall stop processing the data, except where required for overriding legal reasons, or for the purposes of lodging or defending claims.

- Portability: Data subjects are also entitled to receive the personal data that concern them, in a structured, common-use, machine-readable format, where: a) the processing is based on consent or a contract and b) the processing is automated.

 

We hereby inform you of your right to present a claim before the control authority (APDCAT- www.apdcat.cat) where the exercise of your rights explained here has not been fulfilled.

The form allowed you to accept additional purposes by ticking the corresponding box.
